Description
Of all the tools in this artist’s studio, the teapot is perhaps most essential. A ritual is conducted each afternoon, culminating in rich clouds of steam that perfume the air with memories of Seth’s English birth. Painted from life in Louisville, KY.

Artist Bio
Seth Fite was born in Bolton, England, but spent the majority of his childhood in the midwest learning to sketch alongside his sister under the heavy influence of the American illustrators of the Golden Age. After a time, Fite’s grandfather would urge him to look to the Wyeths for inspiration, which then led to his exploration of classical painting under Beth Schott, guided by the techniques of Rembrant, Velazquez, and master Frank Duveneck.
